About Stiffness Tester

The GLOBE Stiffness Tester (cantilever method) has a solid steel base with a leveling bolt to make the base horizontal. The test specimen is placed over another horizontal metallic plate located above the base. This plate is chromium plated to minimize friction between it and the test specimen.

The sides of the equipment are made from transparent acrylic sheet and have two lines denoting the inclined plane indelibly marked on them. A scale mounted on a steel flat having a rubber lined lower face to grip the specimen is provided to apply the required load on the specimen. The scale is calibrated to give the bending length directly in centimeter.

The equipment is finished in bright chrome plating to give it a corrosion resistant finish.
